Resolume

Resolume #

Resolume is primarily a ‘VJ’ software but it works great for playback too. One can import videos into the grid in the software and activate them by clicking on them. The vertical sections on the grid allow multiple videos to be played at once, and the horizontal sections are layers which can combine videos together. The top layer is at the front and the bottom layer is at the back. Resolume supports many of the same blend modes that photoshop does.

Resolume can output video using the Decklink Card or the Blackmagic 4k to Quad HD Box. The settings for this are in the Advanced Output Menu. Inputs from the Decklink Card can be accessed from the source menu.

To play a video with the best quality in Resolume, it is reccomended to use the DXV Codec. This is installed on your system when you install Resolume. It will show up in Adobe Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder as an option when you export your file. You can also convert any file using Resolume Alley.
