How to Factory reset a Quest #

Reset instructions #

  1. Make sure the HMD is powered off. If the Quest is on, hold down the power button until no lights show, and the display is off.

  2. Power on the HMD into the boot menu by holding down the volume down (-) button and the power button simultaneously. You may find it easiest to do this with the HMD on.

  3. Follow the instructions on the boot menu to factory reset. Use the volume buttons to move up and down, and the power button to select. Once you have factory reset the HMD, it will restart.
